Pony Penning Day holds a surprise for everyone. Paul not only brings in Phantom, but her newborn filly as well. Can Paul and Maureen possibly earn enough to buy them both?

This heartwarming story is based on the annual pony auction, which funds the local fire department and provides resources to care for the wild herd of Chincoteague Ponies. The Phantom and Misty were real ponies, with descendants still on Chincoteague and Assateague islands, on Virginia's Eastern Shore.
